My passion for Real Estate began when I purchased my first home in Edmonton at the age of 19. Even at a time when interest rates were 14½ %, I knew how important it was to be in the housing market.
I fell in love with Vancouver and the Lower Mainland when I visited EXPO ’86. I consider myself very fortunate to now live on the North Shore. Over the years I have made many good decisions buying and selling properties that have allowed me to call West Vancouver my home.
I have found myself specializing in estate sales over the years helping families with the task of selling the family home. I’ve rolled up my sleeves on these occasions and have done the following tasks just to mention a few all at no additional cost to my clients: home staging, tree trimming, gardening, pressure washing, touch up painting, garbage removal, trips to thrift stores, and even a garage sale. I also helped my clients arrange tree removal, and bin removal services. Several of these clients are happy to take your call if you're interested in asking them any questions about me.
I always wanted to BUILD MY OWN HOUSE. Not as the contractor but to actually learn and do all the work myself. After purchasing what would be considered a tear down I redesigned our home and then rebuilt it without any contractor or trades. Learning many things about how a home is built along the way! Keeping only 1200 SQ. FT of the structure to live in during the construction period while I increased the home to 4000 SQ. FT. Without a contractor I did the excavation, footings, rebar, foundation, rainscreen, roofing, siding, windows, painting, framing, insulation, drywalling, masonry, plumbing, electrical, flooring, all custom built cabinetry, tiling and all the finishing. I also did all the landscaping and exterior masonry work, including 140,000 pounds of retaining wall and pavers. All work was done WITH PERMITS and after 11 years and 8 months I received my final Building Inspection approval In December 2022 . I physically did all the work with the exception of the following: raising the home 4 1/2 feet, concrete floor finishing, natural gas piping, gutters, larger countertops, glass shower doors and a 16 foot patio door. It's been a long journey and I’m ecstatic to be complete and proud of my accomplishment !
With the product knowledge I have gained over the years including 19 years in the Set Decorating Department of the Film Industry and almost a decade of various Sales positions I’m now proud to be a Realtor. My personal and work experiences have led me to finally step into a career in Real Estate that I wish I started a long time ago!I
